Queen Hatshepsut

She captures a quick glint of light
in swirling poppy hues,
a flickering splash, turning white
as though by cosmic ruse.

Arise as a lotus flower,
imbued in rare azure,
ancient restorative powers
imprinted to endure.

She has slept for thousands of years
to feel this dried flesh stir,
and reach her lover’s tomb so near,
Senenmut awaits her.

Pharaoh Queen, defender of truth,
defaced beauty in stone,
reincarnate to former youth,
then Thutmose will atone.

(smiles) Wow, I can't believe I've never known too much about this enchanting ruler, sweet friend, may we all find our own sense of atonement at heart and find the youth in our hearts glisten on and on! (kiss on cheek) Such a rejuvenating breath of peace fills these refreshing words, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Corinne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Hi Noah, here you are again - I'm convinced that you are really a super computer at the ready to reply to everyone's poetry with your lovely responses! Kidding! It's just that you are as dependable as the sun rise!
Thank you!

Janette - thanks!

Serenity - I'm fascinated by the women of Egypt, so little is known about them, many mysteries to be unburied there!

Interloper - It interests me, yes! Perhaps that is where my fiance and I should go on our honeymoon!
