Off The Stones Of Ocean's Bed

Just when in her minds eye she thought she could forget his eyes
She finds him sifting through her subconscious like sands in an hour glass
And, little by little she tries to bring herself to feel numb from it all
But, she still finds it hard to resist those images that sweetly pass...

He remains part of her present and at heart, future, too
And, just when she thinks she's walking along the serenest of paths
She finds him in every part of nature God hands her there
And, like the waves of the ocean, his face comes rushing back...

Oh, like the rocks of the oceans glorious bed
When the waters crush against those stones and spray mist endlessly
Is how his thoughts flow for they just keep finding their way to her
That sudden rush, like those waters, then flowing back to calm seas...

It's only seconds that the waters lie still in the peace of the winds
Then, without warning, it gathers speed for it's final land on the stones
The rolling and thunder like sounds draw her attention even more
She's overwhelmed with his heart just as the stones have always known...

Like off the stones of the oceans mighty bed
She now realizes she can't escape the rush sometimes in her heart
Just as those stones placed there within sea-green waters
There is just no way to keep the two apart...

She so doesn't mind the impact of what his loving thoughts bring
She just isn't sure how to handle the oceans temporary rains
And, while sea spray rests upon her face beneath precious skies
She'll just find comfort, in the next wave, about to crash by...

Hello Saunni

This was so very beautiful and heartfelt.  There are some people who always remain in our hearts and memories of our times with them can bring comfort in times of need.  I found your words to be full of love and warmth.

Take care......Sue
