Sad Songs

Dirge

          Lo Scot’s bagpipe
          Hone thy tune

Elegy

          A poem in
          Rondo, played

Requiem

          Give yon ghost up
          To the Lord

Hymn

           A poem in
           Rondo, played

Lament

           Sweet Maid’s cry
           Sore thy grief

Chant

           A poem in
           Rondo, played

Inspired by R. W. Emerson's "Dirge"

May love and light always shine upon you!

I am living in a land where the pipes and laments have been frequent lately, and this wonderful writing of yours is so timely.  I appreciate your grace in writing....

The music is playing...the dance begins

"Turn 'em on (turn 'em on)
Turn on those sad songs...they say so much."

Elton John fan here. (couldn't resist.)

Rondo, hmmm? Very nice, Karilea!

That was cool!  I read through it once, and then I read through it again, and I loved how it was like a chant, like it said at the end!  I'm impressed!
