Please Think me Some Thoughts

Perhaps you could tell me what thoughts I should think
For weight of confusion sways over the brink
It’s hard to remember the rules I’ve been taught
I need a companion to think me some thoughts

Please tell me, dear friend, just how I should proceed
I cannot determine my wants or my need
And you are the one who could show me the light
And mark out my footsteps in black and in white

Deception has shrouded my heart and my mind
And answers to questions I never will find
So please make a blueprint depicting my life
And show me the way through the mazes of strife

No answers you offer to pain I must live
Not one word of comfort or solace you give
You think that the answers were already learned
In battles I’ve fought and in scars I have earned

You don’t stop a moment to think me a thought
Or learm me a lesson that life should have taught
You silently watch as my mind is confused
As anger and gief and denal are fused

Your silence contains all the answers I seek
In my greatest despair, you don't even speak
I thik I will do what I know to be true
I believe I have found my true answers through you

Please give me the strenghth that will help see me through
Dear God, I will silently walk next to you

It IS in the quiet that we find the best answers...the ones from the heart.  This touches me very much, Lady Santos, and it is with some pride in you that I say thank you for doing us so much good even through the pain...

Life is not a dress-rehearsal
No scripts written yet.
No plots pre-ordained and what
You see is what you get.

No cue cards to guide the way.
Director stands there mute
Should you fall down in any scene
S.A.G. sends no substitute.

Impromptu is the rule of thumb
Create lines as you go
Adapt to any circumstance
And onward with the show.

Your character will find a way
Through all your trials of stress
For God is your Producer
And will guarantee success.

Act on, dear Liz, you're audience
Is on their feet because
You'll always be a heroine
So worthy of applause...

Elizabeth,
I do not have the eloquence or quick wit of balladeer but what he said is true. Everything comes from within the individual.
Both questions and answers. What we would to happen and what does happen are two different things. We live a world and dream a world. I can offer no acupuncture to cure the body. I can only offer rainbows for the mind. But believe me when I say the mind will play a large part in any relief that is possible. You are in my mind and in my soul.
You are a part of my whole. Love Ya Sy

yes. . . the answers are indeed within us all. . . but, it's like I've always said, we need to find the questions first. . .

well done my friend. . .

He's right you realize right?  Impromptu is the answer, and always being "cool and collected" gives one an edge.  Seems to me someone really smart said once, "kill them with kindness", and by now, I don't think you need to bring out the Raid to get rid of your bugs - they are doing a fine job of walking right into their own web.  (Oh, this is just me on the sidelines on your stage, with a little coaching - but don't tell the "boss")

Impeccable rhyme, Elizabeth,...not a forced one in the lot.

It's easy to question our understanding and our ability to listen to the promptings of the Master.

I tell you one thing, I definitely understand being tired of being the decision maker. Consequences bug me.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

I agree with Deer here (I don't know how in the world he comes up with this stuff so quick, just pours out of him I guess) ...and I love this write! Very good, and I'm putting it on my fridge so I can be reminded every day!

Sunshine,
It does get confusing when the are seval traumas going on at the same time, but I've just been working through one at a time and we are all coming out of this just fine.
THank you for your kind words

bsquirrel, thank you for the "WOW"

Interloper, Yes, I am. Thank you

Sy, thank you for your words of wisdom. I have more questions than answers but I realize that these answers may end up not being that important. I've stopped thinking of the things I can't change. Thanl you, dear friend
Balladeer, How sweet of yoou. I know I can;t miss with you inthe audience. You have been a warm friend and I wish I had had the opportunity to talk with you, perhaaps next time. THank you for your support. What a lovely response you honor me with.

Sven, you are right, healing comes from within, and I am doing great. Thank you

Mysteria, Oh, girl, how you make me laugh!.I do keep my Raid handy just in case. This is classic YOU, thank God for that. You have renewed my spirit. Thanks, sweetie

VAS, I think I'll just keep walking along with Him and carry a little can of Raid in my pocket.
Thanks

Passing Shadows, if you think the Balladeer is fast in writing a verse, I have witnessed him making up a poem as he was reciting it, and it rhymed evey time, asnd not only that, it was hylarious. He is truly full of it!
A great poet. I loved his response

THank you all
Liz

Elizabeth,
Oh the doubt that we all share,
So many won't reveal that it's there.
But you're not alone in the trials of life,
Many of us are confused by the burdens of strife.

But the source of strength that you chose,
Means you surely can't possibly lose.
So know that we care and we also seek,
The truth you desire with heart so meek.

You are not alone...just more honest!

THanks for the little poem of comfort. I know when I look around me, I am among the very very fortunate for all the treasures life has bestowed me

This is one I'll be keeping for many re-readings... for line after line stirred echoes in my mind and heart... I just keep forgetting the resolution. *S* Thanks for the reminder. *S*
