Adventures of Ian  (and his Mother)

Ian was drinking lemonade and before he knew it he was listening to his Mom talk about the time she went to her Senior Prom with her old flame Tom McKool.
Seems like among other things Tom had owned a Harley Davidson way back then and she remembered how she and Tom McKool used to ride on that motorcycle going to school.
She started talking about some songs that Elvis used to sing like "I Got A Woman" and "Don't Be Cruel."
His mom ask Ian if he wanted another lemonade.
"Of course Mom...I can drink all you made."
Ian really loved his Mom...I mean after all she was all that Ian had.
You could say they had a closer relationship after the tragic loss of Ian's Dad.
It was truly sad the way Ian's Dad had died.
A man who loved the thrill and adventure of life.
Some knew him as "The Human Fly".
Just for a thrill he would jump from airplanes with a snowboard and maneuver through the sky until finally he would open his parachute at the last minute before he would crash and die.
But that wasn't the way he would pass away.
Some drunk driving fool was driving a pickup truck in front of the school and ran a red light in the middle of the night and Dad and Corvette wouldn't live to see another sunset.
Soon thereafter Ian's life of happiness had turned into a life of pain and regret.
Ian wouldn't wish this pain upon anyone but as time passed by Ian rediscovered fun.
Sometimes he and his friends would hike into the woods and just get crazy and free.
They would do carefree things like chase butterflies and bumble bee's.
Eat wild berries and swing into the pond from an old tire hanging on the old oak tree.
Sometimes Ian would start to think about his new friend Mary.
The words of Ian's Mom cut through his thoughts asking him to tell her more about Mary.
Oh Mom "When I met Mary the stars semed to sparkle a little extra bright in the beauty of the night."
"When me and Mary looked into the sky the Moon smiled at us and blinked an eye."
The way Ian described Mary to his Mom she sounded like a heavenly angelic thing.
But then Mom remembered how exciting a dance can be when you are only seventeen.
