The Mystery of Life

Every day I think about
the mystery of life.
I see my Dad, I see my Mom,
on pictures near my bed.
My friends are falling
like the trees,
I loose them one by one.
The undertaker I know well,
I see him every time,
when I attend the funerals
of friends I mentioned in this rhyme.
I say: "Hello, I'm here again",
he says: "You should be glad",
But the only things that will be left,
are the pictures near my bed.
And then there are the memories
of two I hold so dear,
the man who loved me all his life,
the little girl I've lost.
My heart is fluttering all around
when I think of those two.
The mystery of life I guess,
will always play it's peek-a-booh.

the middle word in LIFE is IF.

I like this poem, the last line set it off well

a wonderful write...one thing is for sure as we grow older the losses seem greater ...but the memories remain forever.

(tears fall down my cheeks) God Bless You, sweet friend, this touched my heart deeply reading this knowing how special you are to us all and that I know your husband and your daughter will always love you so so much and will never forget you, for you are a true angel to them!
