The Unthinkable Place

My words only hint
along lines that may rhyme,
grasping the inner
of strength that I find
in the freedom I need,
that unthinkable place.
I am crossing the realm that
allows me to face
those unthinkable thoughts
that have driven me so,
as I walk through the myst
and the essence of know.

It's the bindings untied
that I cast off each day
that allow me my freedom
in penning this way.
There's a power that's greater
that draws me to you,
that allows me the pleasure,
receivings come due.
My words only hint
of that which inspires
the you, that to me,
lets me free my desires.

M

Excellent ryhme and rhythm. But the subject matter is even better. I had to read this a couple of times in order to understand the meaning. Makes me think...so why is the place unthinkable to you?

Opeth,
The unthinkable place is that which is unknown to me...the moving forward I must do, leaving my well-known world to make me free to live a new life...something I am working on *s

thanks for your thoughts

Hello Maureen

I really liked this and I guess we all expose parts of our inner soul through our writing - I know I certainly do.  There are still so many people that don't know I write and I feel more comfortable in not telling them (does that make sense?)

Take care.....Sue
