My Heart Grows Fonder

Sitting here by the shore
Gazing a wide blue yonder
Absence and so far apart
My heart does grow fonder

The distance stretches
Over vast , wide and blue
Where I echo my plea
How much I’m missing you

My heart remaining true
The same as my yesterdays
Counting loving memories
Feelings grow in many ways

Aching with the longing
I miss you more and more
Wish you could be here
As the waves lap the shore

With not a cloud in sight
Heart visions remain clear
I drift in thought of you
Forever wanting you near

There in space and time
I had knelt beside the sea
Always upon my mind
Wishing he was missing me
