Every day as you head on out
Going into the world not knowing
What really are you made about
Passing strangers along the way
Keeping contact to the least
Not letting others keep you astray
When you come home
That phony mask you wear
Seems to come off,
You feel appreciated
Surrounded by the things
You created
But you a fake
For you let loose
On your wild taste
What’s the difference
Every opportunity turns
Into a temporary reference
Of how you live today
But you will be judged
ONE DAY.

And life is a vapour,
A breath while you're here,
To be savoured and cherrished
Before it disappears.

Chasing the wind,
It was written down so long ago,
Chasing the wind,
From where it comes,
YOu'll never know.
You know you'll never hold a breeze,
Silence a gail or calm the seas,
But keep on living life from day to day.
Carry on .... ANYWAY.

I did enjoy the poem and you are correct, we will be judged by our actions... I imagine standing before the Almighty as the events of our lives are played out one by one.... us feeling the emotions that we gave others, good and bad. Reeping what we have sown.

Love, Light and Peace,

Sherry Gardner

Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow.
But above all... be kind to yourself today.

Honestly, this hits to close to truth these days for me. *sigh* This is what poetry is about though..touching a part of someone with it. I say I like to make them nod their heads, etc. I like to read poems that make me do that also.

To the top with this.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.
