On The 14th Of February What woman would I have had I the choice Of beauties past or present, dreamt or real? Would I fall prey to Prosperina's voice Or would to Helen's fairness humbly kneel? What symphony of sweetness would I seek To see as every wish personified? What thoughts would shape a lover so unique Who'd proffer such perfection long denied? I know her taste, I smell her sweet perfume, Her image lives as memories possessed. It must not errant be to safe presume I am a man above all others blessed. For you, my love, are all my needs and more, You fuel the fire that burns within my core. |
