Thirst

am I but
a puff of smoke
completely out
of fire
or am I the
strong blue flame
that your soul
will never tire
I blush across
your mind
in hues of
crimson red
the very thought
of another day
is the food
that inspiration fed
it is the first
wave of coolness
when a sip
has been disbursed
solitary sustaining
drink of life
to quench
a parched thirst

(smiles) Oh Helen, this is sooooo beautifully touching, sweet friend, I wish for this inspiration and something special to always thirst your parched throat and bring you great joy and comfort always! (kiss on cheek) Your words are always so gorgeous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I doubt that you could ever be a puff of smoke, miss. This is very smooth writing
