Fluttering A Memory

~*Marge Tindal*~

She walks my night in gossamer gown
fluttering a memory as she touches down
Gently she comes ... too quickly she's gone
Leaving the notes of a well-sung song~

Motherly medley of reminisce
touches my cheek in angelic kiss
Softly trickles one tiny tear
then quietly
she disappears~

I wake on the dawn, so sure that she'll be
here in my heart as a memory
Astonished I hear the softest thing
the quiet whirr of angel-on-wing~

On the pillow, right next to my head
one feather left as a tear-in-shed
An angelic memory laid with me last night
and held my heart until early light~

*From a dream of tremendous inspire ...
and the downy softness of one feather found
Thank you, Mother ... for touching down~

April 28, 2002

Magie girl darling sister of my heart yet again you’ve written an absolutely gorgeous and tenderly soft piece. I could feel the soft feather of memory brushing against your soul. You’ve written absolute perfection here, and I’m spell bound by your ability to write such beauty.

Truly outstanding writing you know I love it utterly utterly love it

Marge, this is one poem that I just had to reply to.  'Moving,' 'soft' and 'beautiful' don't even scratch the surface of this.  You often pen the prettiest and best poetry when it is about your mother.
I truly believe that dreams are in fact reality in which they do remind us that there is life after death and that they still love and protect us. You've made me think of my own Grandma with this and I'm sure that your mother smiles in heaven at you.  It sounds very cliche, I know, but, it certainly is a comforting thought, isn't it?   Into my library this goes~

Marge, a mother's touch, either dreamed or real, is a wonderful thing. Beautifully said as usual.
