Rubicon
By: Noah Eaton
4/27/02

Vuelva a yo mismo

Vuelva a yo mismo

Vuelva a yo mismo
Vuelve...

Este mundo ha parecido tan vacío
Este mundo ha parecido tan desolado
Sin usted yo no puedo ser
Vuelve...

(English Version)

Petrified like a gargoyle
Standing cold like an abandoned mine in a ghost-town
Like Octavian without the title Augustus
Finding the Rubicon flooding over and making my kingdom a prison

My bones of my past are scattered behind like the Stonehedge
Just yearning to protect the last redwood trees of my hearts forest
Treated like a Viking thrown aboard by the kraken
All I can hope for now is some revival of the Age of Enlightenment

I'm just waiting to return
Return to myself
I just want to return
Return to what I'm meant to be

Help me, all my words are falling short on this occasion
All my ghosts seem so unorthodox
Is this my sanctuary?
I am just trying to channel my own sense of kundalini

No swords or arrows can penetrate my walls
But this poison of anguish has taken effect
My elbows are going sore and my ankles feel sleepy
My screams deafen the ears of the whippoorwill it seems

I'm just waiting to return
Return to myself
I just want to return
Return to where I'm supposed to be

Is there something wrong with me?
Have I lost the chance to be all these things I can be
Is there something wrong with me?
I'm walking inside this closet and I cannot see

I'm just waiting to return
Return to myself
I just want to return
Return to where I'm supposed to be

This world has seemed so empty
This world has seemed so bleak
Without you I cannot be
Return...

Hello Noah!
Glad you put the English version in, the other is beautiful to read also, but I don't understand... This is the opposite of what you have been writing... The wheel turns and we have no control...there is the hub......
Good thoughts and wishes. Always enjoy your work. ThisDiamond
