So Into You

The skies are closing in
as raindrops begin their fall
your reflection in my mind
plays gently capturing all
the moments of your kisses
as you stroke the side of cheek
the skies are closing in tonight
and I am feeling meek

Your picture leans before me
your eyes of gentle hue
a hint of smile is captured
by my thoughts of wanting you
the secrecy that you hold back
reaches past the words
this time may be the last time
my needs for you are heard

I wonder, will there ever be
the understanding rhyme
of once upons and days to come
remembrances in time
can lips of yours impress upon
the lips of mine to feel
tomorrow is the yesterday
when loving you was real

My emotions, they are always mixed
often in pursuit
to touch upon the inner core
of one who's so astute
whose intellect draws me into
his arms that gently mold
a disposition wanting more
life's treasures to behold

The skies are closing in tonight
I feel the dampness grow
in harmony of memories
my mind in overflow
of thoughts, as I sit watching eyes
your stare intent, their blue
expressing wordless, wonderings
my eyes so into you

nakdthoughts,
I am so into this poem I read it three times before I could find words to respond.
This is so romantic and soft, so loving and lovely. A masterpiece of love.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Maureen, I like this soooo much.

"I wonder, will there ever be
the understanding rhyme
of once upons and days to come
remembrances in time
can lips of yours impress upon
the lips of mine to feel
tomorrow is the yesterday
when loving you was real"

Oh, how I know this, and feel it every day.
