The art of silence – From the Soddy, 1872

I would be in company of good conversation,
yea, assuredly so,

but if you find me lacking when you
look to me to fill this void,
think not that I have forsaken
the art of listening,

nay,

I stand before you here, in the wind

my skirts whipped about in
playful jest as air sprites
tug and lift

I raise my hand that your eye might
follow the whispering to be
heard

and I would speak to you with
only my eyes,

so that you might hear the silent thoughts
coming to greet yours

let others fill the air with words
of commonality

we shall hear the leaves speak
and grasses sing

you and I
shall let our souls converse ~
for that, I hope you shall feel as affluent
as that which is all I can
give to you

for all that you have given me.

BRAVO!!! I just love this series, sweet friend, you should put all these journal entries together and publish a book: "The Soddy Journal Sessions" or something like that! (big huggsssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

your whispers upon the wind take flight in this poetess of the warm....this breeze carries much more than leaves...this breeze bestows butterfly promises
very very cool...thats some muse ya got there girlie

... and I don't know why ...
Why should love come down and just sweep me away
I want to fly ... but there are so many things in my way.

Your poetic paintbrush sketches in ways few can when you write like this.....

I'm sure you could say more with your eyes than many could say speaking volumes.

Wonderful writing, shining one

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Especially the section Janet Marie included in her response.

I got a little stuck in that last segment of what she included...but I really think it's just me. It might be worth taking another look at in a few days.  I don't know.

I love considering the eyes, the leaves and the grass talking, not the mouth, and yet the perfect message being conveyed. Lovely!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
