Humming bird

Blur of color
Hovering above the vine
Busy little thing

Sparrow

Wee small fellow
So cocky for his tiny size
He killed cock robin

Mocking bird

Sitting on a fence
Loudly telling the whole world
This is all my land

Crow

Black shadows in the field
Eating up the farmer's corn
Cawing with delight

Snow goose

Long distance flyer
"V" shaped strands high in the sky
Hear their lonly calls

Eagle

Majestic soarer
Above the highest mountain
Symbol of our land

Oh Bob!  You know how I have waited for more in your 'theme' series.
I love these...extremely well done....
But now stuck in my head is....
"Who killed cock robin?
I said the sparrow
With my bow and arrow"
LOL...you brought back memories with this one!

Paladin, so good to see your name here, and ya know, I absolutely love birds, any shape, any color, any size, any attitude. Yes, I even love those seagulls and pigeons that crap on you when you feed them. My soul cannot live without birds. And I especially love those little tiny hum-birdies. Thanks for sharing this.

Hey, Paladin, I like 'em. That makes me want to give them a try. Senyrus aren't they? I didn't count the syllables, just enjoyed the read.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
