In Your Poetic Mind

I lay my soul upon your heart
weakened by life's timeless thought

When my eyes are closed
I taste the rain sip the sky
of you and I

And feast upon endless stars
a hunger I pray will never die

Your words stirred my emotions
every feeling of me belongs
to you

No other dream can surpass
the ache of need
the want of you
all there is,us
two clouds forming

As the gentle breeze flows
through the soul of an endless
horizon

Like stolen moments
crimes of passion
seeping like tears of tomorrow
like fears of yesterday

Drawing us as one
into the present
only you know my soul,
only you know my heart

Only we can share
this eternal Heaven
our bodies adrift
light as a feather
as we yearn to escape

~Sinking fast into
an ocean of you,
what if I told you,
what if I said
that I love you
do we dare cross
that line between your
heart and mine~

I was wondering when you two would write together ... or should I say meld words into eye sighs
This has such lovely phrasing and images ...
wrapped up in a whispered yearning that pulls the reader in.
Please do-duet again.

... and I don't know why ...
Why should love come down and just sweep me away
I want to fly ... but there are so many things in my way.

your words blend into a tapestry of beauty.  Well done to both of you!!

Like a red brick,
in a white wall
somebodies brush
forgot to paint...
lonely....(as sung by Tracy Lawrence..)

I don't post much but I do often read without commenting.  Lauren I love your works as I also do Ctowens and this is well constructed and very beautiful.  Lovely duet.

Yes, thank you everyone for taking the time to read and comment on our little piece. Lauren has a gift that tends to overflow onto those who have the pleasure of working with her ... a pleasure I am sure we shall share with you again.
