The world born from molten flow
of fires that burn from deep within
Billions of years in time that go
flying past on a cosmic wind

A core of golden heat so hot
would melt the strongest modern steel
Born of a time we know not what
for ages past, now sealed, don’t reveal

Surrounded by stars that shed a light
and bask the earth in softest hue
A moon that traverses a still night
if not for Sun, would not subdue

The poet’s pen born from the heat
from within the heart of the core
Born to write on wings flying fleet
in times of old and nevermore

Though time will take away the quill
and poet’s souls will take to wing
rhyme and verse shall remain then till
poetry’s quilled as angels sing.

Inspired by a comment from Martie that poetry will never die.....

And YES Martie...you may call me Barry

Then I shall call you Mr. Barry
and thank you for this thrill
for I would read a bit to carry
me further on forever's hill...

Magnus darling heart, as always you write with such skill and beauty I really found this excellent poem wonderful. The beauty of your words uplifts a soul and this delightful confection illumes the page and my heart. Well done darling heart, exquisite writing. This poem contains some amazingly beautiful lines, the flow is utterly utterly divine, and I love it I truly do.

Oh how I wish I could write like this, this is seriously good.

Utterly utterly utterly perfect

Love and warm stuff

Hello Barry

This was just wonderful.  There is always so much wisdom portrayed through your words and I absorb every drop.  I'm only sorry I don't get to read all of your wonderful words.

Take care.....Sue

(smiles) Yes, yes, I too am convinvced that the beauty of poetry can never die for while there will always be many that can suppress what we believe in, the English proverb will always outshine them all that the pen is stronger than the sword, and through ink, justice will always be served and beauty will always be unveiled! (big hugggssssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is fabulous! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

indeed Sir, it shall remain as long as words exist, and even then, it shall be in the sounds of eternity. . .

well done. . .
