If I could change one tiny part of life
If time stood still for a single second
If the world stopped turning around just now
What would I do, for that short little moment?

If love were taken from when once given
and life were left to be a flowing song
If hearts weren’t shaken or over driven
could it all be right versus being wrong

If age did not take away what was youth
and wrinkle the skin once so silky soft
Would we still be at a lemonade booth
or could we be sitting in the hay loft.

Will the kisses given be taken from
the lips once pursed and delicately moist
Or would the singing hearts then softly strum
the words that our lips held to be once voiced

Can death begin again the birth of life
Lying so still from the point of the start
Or will it all be just yet some more strife
that tax the weary man’s old beating heart

Will dreams of yesterday become morrow’s
as minds turn back the mem’ry in the clock
Or will gladness be shadowed by sorrows
as the worn key no longer turns the lock

Magnus, can I call you Barry?  You ask so sweetly the pondering that I have so often done in my head.  Whatever the end, I know one thing...poetry will never be dead!

Magnus, dear poet, your words amaze me yet again. Chris

Each time you teach me of your view, it takes my breath a second or two...and I must see again somehow, what I knew once and will know now...
You are an inspiration in this world Mag.

Hello Barry

This one really got me thinking.  I thought the imagery portrayed through your words was fantastic.

(smiles) Oh Barry, this is wonderful, i too believe that it is a wonderful experiment to go out and embrace the world and pretend as though there were no tomorrow and how we can love one another so much closer and more sincere each day! (sigh) This is very powerfully thoughtful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I'm sure you've touched a cord with many here, this is well expressed, Barry!

Take care,
