~~*~Small talk*~~

I have survived the hurricane
Like the apples from the tree
all the postsherds fell down near me
One thing I've safed... my cup of tea

~~~~~~~~~~
A table set for one
That's loneliness in full
But with a walkman
on your head
You suddenly
don't feel that bad
~~~~~~~~~~

It is the truth,
The world has opened herself
to me and I can speak
with everybody
who has a computer.
It's miraculous.
Born in nineteenhundredeleven,
I have seen the most wonderful things.
Every morning I wake up
and I am delighted.
A new day has come for me
I look in the mirror with my sleepy face
and smile.
Yes a new day is there for me,
Thank You dear God,
Thank You

Oh wow, did I choose the wrong title for my Mom's poems. What I meant was just a few little rhymes. No it isn't 'small talk' at all (just looked up what it really meant)I've translated the Dutch meaning a bit wrong.

You did a swell job Mommy Muys
I like your little rhymes.

Stupid Dutchie me

Muys, how much I appreciate these sentiments...my own mother-in-law was born in 1908...and when she tells people the day of birth [over here we have to give our Driver's License as identification ...she no longer carries one and has to use other forms of ID] the people look at her and gasp...there is no way she can look THAT good and get around THAT well at THAT age...or so they think!

You make me smile, Muys.  When are you going to tell us some stories about all the things you've seen?
(Titia, I thought the title did nicely)

I know all about that table set for one... does a Walkman really help? *S*

I like this very much, Muys... your appreciation and thanksgiving are very refreshing. *S*

And Titia... the title's just fine. *S*

Oké the title is fine I understand, I'm glad.

She's as busy as a bee, just have to show her yet how she can reply herself, but...as you know, still very busy.

You write on Mom, I know there's a lot more poetry waiting to be released in your head.

HUGS Titia
