My friends are all so many, if I search or truly need
But solitude I seem to like, from it my thoughts can seed
But when that time I have alone, that seed seems not to flower
Some stolen time of inner peace, does quickly take the hour

When time alone, I guilty feel, if actions please my heart
Duties many pleasures steal, as guilt pulls right apart
So then the day becomes a chore, amounting not to much
The writing that I wished to do, had lost its writer’s touch

So moments I do try to steal when company is close
And somehow stolen moments, seem to give my daily dose
And they’re the words I share with you my friends in poet land
And I believe, none better, than you would understand

So steal a moment when you can, to write your masterpiece
And let your heart and soul both meet, to beauty just release
Be happy for the little time of pleasure with your love
Then all the souls of heaven’s wealth, will smile from world above

This is exquisetly touching Rick.  It flows and leaves one with a peaceful feeling.
Well done Rick!

(big hugggssssss) Oh Rick, I know this kind of feeling all so well, I always feel so fortunate when I even only have a half-an-hour to write because that is my love and now I am starting to play guitar to begin a songwriting pasttime, and when those who love me are around, I always try and spend the most time I can with them too! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rick, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Empathetically understood.
Sometimes stealing is a good thing.

Thanks for this, Rick

Rick - I enjoyed this very much. Chris
