Could it be that reality
never one of the best
states of mind
has come around
to my way of thinking?

See
I knew I was right
all along
it just took awhile
for the powers that be
also to see
my point.

I have waited many years for you
never knowing
that I waited…
content
in my ignorance
of love.

Many hearts, many hands
have touched me
and I
fell in love, easily
until you
redefined everything I knew.

Suddenly, the days before us
have blurred
focus struggling
to catch up with reality
some days are grainy
some days, clear.

I so need to relax in this love
under a lantern
and a starless sky
if only for a night to dream forever
stumbling forward
I hope to meet you there.

Duncan,
Susan is so right...this rocks indeed! I think I'll set up camp next door and do the same. What an awesome plan. Way to go, this was so cool.

I think I will let Jackson say better than I will--what this poem said to me...

Excerpt from "Hold Out" By Jackson Browne Dedicated to Duncan & Tracy

"You're a hold out ...
Well I'm a hold out too
But it took me all this time to figure out
Something you already knew

Will love be true? Can it pull you through?
How long? How strong?
Somethings depend on you
See-- I always figured I was going to meet somebody here
and I don't know why
Why should love come down and suddenly just sweep me away
I want to fly
But there are so many things in my way

Anyway...
I guess you wouldn't know unless I told you
But...
I love you
Well just look at yourself--
What else would I do?"

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch

Jackson Browne

I know just the lantern, filled with sweet smelling candles…race ya!! Lol
Love JM’s Jackson Browne song. I’ll have to find a copy of that..i’d never heard that one of his before.

Sometimes love cannot be found
When all of life is holding down
Until you find the one to share
Who holds your heart to ever care
Keeping love under the stars
Dreams that are forever ours
Hold that dream and hold that thought
Moments that in time are caught

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
