She Speaks The Wisdom Of The Rain

~*Marge Tindal*~

Parched in curl of sand unfurled
by winds of quick descend
She seeks the wisdom of the clouds
to quench the thirst again~

She summons the wisdom of the rain
in gentle fall on plains from sky
Swell of moisture-laden drops
pelting the earth of long-deny~

Mother of the ancient tongue
hears our chant of earnest plea
She sends the wisdom of the rain
whispering ever so gently~

That we could catch her offering
on lips of thankfulness
She speaks the wisdom of the rain
and we are richly blessed~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Margie darling sister of my heart this is utterly wonderful writing, the sheer beauty of these words caress my soul with delight. Your writing is always divinely painted in brilliant hues of crystal truths. I love it, I really do. The writing is as always perfect.

The graphic is utterly utterly awesome do I love it? Oh yes I do, definitely a keeper darling heart. Wonderful

Marge,

Thanks for sharing this sincere poem.  I enjoyed the read.  Are you Native American / Canadian?  I'm part Mohawk myself.

Marge,

Cool!  I did stop by and read some of your other work, and I must say it's very sincere and purposeful.  Neat image:  "I am the blood left standing".  I wish I knew more about my culture.  Since I'm only part Native, I don't know whether I should think of myself as Native or not, although I guess it's not about a percentage of genes but a subjective feeling of connection.  Do you speak any Native languages?  I only know how to say Hello and How are you.  I would write it down, only I don't know how to spell it!  (See, I told you I didn't know much about my First Nations culture!)

Take care,

Ashley

Ashley~
Thank you for coming back and letting me know you'd read some of my Indian heritage collection~

Yes, I speak a little ... but don't get the chance to use it much~
And you're right ... it isn't about the percentage of blood of Indian heritage that flows through our veins ... I lay claim to blood-lines of 1/4 heritage ... but oh, how it flows~

I would encourage you to seek your heritage ... as it will give you insight to writing from the spirits~
I cherish the legends of the ancients~

Thanks again so much sister of the blood~

I have cherished your email for the past couple of days as I battled the werk monster for time to play in the blue pages... quenching my thirst on the touching perfection you've written... catching your offering on lips of thankfulness. *S*

This is magnificent, Marge... the spirits were generous and I thank you for sharing this gift. *S* The graphic is wonderful accompaniment to your words... but the words paint pictures all on their own. *S*

Absolutely beautifully done, Marge....

I really do love the rain.  Most people love sunny bright days, but I really like it better when its cloudy and rainy...
