Written for a friend...

Words from the heart expressed in pain
Falling on ears deaf to the sound
Thoughts and feelings falling like rain
Seems like never anyone around

I tried again, finally quit
A voice in anguish not once heard
Sometimes I feel like I could spit
In silence I sit, not a word

You say I don’t, I say you did
Now I sit here angry and stew
The hurt I feel is hard to rid
cause you make it no fault by you

Perfect we will not ever be
Cause I am human as are you
Trust and kindness are so simply
given by both, no debt..you see!

I went my own mile and a half
to make it all be fair to each
But now I sit, I cannot laugh
I will not listen to you preach!

I hear you Magnus!  At times we have to be content with the fact that we gave it our best shot!  You wrote some bitter truths here.   Take care~

Barry,

This reminds me of an ex-friend of mine. We had our differences and it ended it severing our friendship. It's hard, because everyone thinks differently and does things a certain way. Nicely written my friend.

How true this reads in so many ways...we give all that we have, but sometimes it is never enough, especially if the receiver keeps changing the rules.  We hope and pray that scenario never happens to us, but people do change, and sometimes their faults overshadow their strengths, or they lose sight of the big picture for the nitty-gritty of every day living...

Hello Barry

I could almost feel your hurt, disappointment and frustration along with many other emotions and I feel it is up to the other person to now reach out and make amends.  You have done all you can and this shows so clearly in your writing.

Take care.....Sue

Thanx to all...I know that sometimes others
think that what is for a friend is really
for the writer...WELL...wrong!   It is
just a little bit of empathy for that person
and what I perceive would be their own
thoughts...  My feelings are their feelings
because of my empathy toward their life
situation....Plus...I have experienced many
of the same emotions over the years of my
life....

Magnus darling boy OH MY This is simply stunning writing, utterly utterly stunning. How often has pride, or anger kept us silent when we should speak, or haste made us speak when we should be silent.

What lies are woven into spite
Then draws the poisoned web so tight
Anger leaves a bitter taste
Leaves you empty soul in waste
Deny the power it can wield
Wrap your soul truths pure shield
Throw away the past and look ahead
The future is alive the past is dead

Do I love this yes you know I do, Wonderful writing darling boy utterly utterly wonderful.

Love and warm stuff
As always

I can relate to this poem on a very personal level. I remember trying very hard too.

Thanx to you all....this poem is for a friend
who has experienced many problems in a
marital relationship where communication and
love have certainly been lacking...  I just
wanted to express the words for them...
