Tickled by a Whisper

In the mind’s eye my dreams hear her touch and I feel a shadow wavering in chills of moonlit air ticked by a whisper where my smile opens the pages faded to sign language mostly forgotten as if I still had something to say about a life dried too well and the crisp of autumn leaves crackling under dancing feet while the waning noon glare dims the once boundless energy with spent songs haunting the imaginary ears missing high frequencies yet mellow tones of experience soften the bitter taste of once sweet fallen fruit.

Take a breath...it is sweet, as are your words, from deep both come.

This bounds across the mind as quickly as a forbidden thought....lovely, wanting, haunting...
