Write Me

Write me poet in swirls of light
Draw me through the heat of night
Caress my face with wordy line
Shape my soul with skill so fine

Draw me poet as you see me
Bathing in oceans of fantasy
Igniting the fire that lies within
Spreading heat o’er my skin

Etch me poet use your skill
Mould me to suit your will
In poetic form write my heart
Make me stop make me start

Inscribe me poet draw me out
Give me voice let me shout
Spin me into spangled light
Take me on a poet’s flight

Write me poet make me whole
Give me your poet’s soul
Fill me with divinity
Lift your pen and write me

Marsha

Hello Marsha

Beautiful words continually flow through your magical pen and I have no doubt they come from an equally beautiful soul.

Take care.....Sue

I really like this. It flows like a stream of thoughts, suggestive, and assertive..and very descriptive in your want of poetic detail..Great write!!

The whole poem could be based on these stunning original lines, Maaaaasha!
When we have lost our muse, we need only look no further than our
corral of poets for inspiration!  You said it like only a splendorific poetess could!
Sorry I havent been here in a week....rest assured, i catch up when i DO
go online!  Keep writin' ; i'll pick your poetic flavours on the flipside, ok?
all my best,
