Three Words

I love you.
Three simple words
That are the most
Complicated we have.
Three little words that
Everyone waits to hear.
That everyone wants to
Be able to say with truth
Three tiny words
That can cause so much
Happiness and elation
Three small words
That can change a life
With a quiet whisper
A gentle caress of the heart
Its amazing what words can do
How they can heal
And brighten a soul
I love you.
Honest words, easy to say
If meant with your heart
But yet they are not said
Nearly enough to those who
Need to hear it most.
One day it will be to late.
The time will have passed
Our chance faded away.

This was just a... ramble .. I guess that is what I would call it.lol.  I just wrote what first came to mind and didnt change anything.  Not my best I know..but considering I have written next to nothing in the past month, I thought I would share anyway.

(smiles) Oh Tara, this is such a gorgeous ramble, sweet friend, I hope now you can share these three words with the one you love always and find them echoing to you with sincere meaning! (kiss on cheek) This is fabulous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Tara, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

rosepetals25 - not a ramble to me, as your words are so very true. At times I wonder how much time there is left to say those three words...

nearly enough how I love those I do love...

Thank you for a honest write and one we all

Love how it evolves toward the end ... from romance to sober realization.

I understand what you've said it very well.  Yes, sometimes it can be too late.  And yes, these three small words are so easy to say for some and yet so hard to say for others.  Nice work, Tara.  It's good to see you posting again, my friend. *hugs*

Wow.. I never expected this poem to get this many responses.. that is how it always goes though lol.  Usually win I really like a poem, it will get maybe 2 replies.  When I think no one will read it, everyone does *chuckles*

Thank you all for stopping in and reading.  I'm glad you liked it

Hugs,
Tara

i read it too!

and i liked it!

although i freely admit i have been known to be blindingly biased in your direction - i tend to think that (what with the overwhelming number of replies) i am not alone in appreciating this poem - although maybe not QUITE for the same reason as everyone else
