Haiku
.

Eighty years he keeps
Mary Jo Kinchelow young
love’s clear periscope

(A true story of a young first love.)

Father after stroke
plays left hand harmonica
eighty-eight years brave

Old man’s memories
nursing home solo wavers
harmonica’s croon

Rosemary

These are wonderful illustrations of the known fact that love does not discriminate.  Very touching through your eyes.

Rosemary, I just went a-scrolling and found this. Methinks them lovely too. Like black-and-white photos...vivid in their capture of heart. I wish you would grace us with more.

Why, thank you, kind friends! I'm having a lot of fun with haiku right now, and didn't even know if anyone in here would read them! Very nice to have been able to share my father with you. He's a very special man.

YES YES YES!

Haiku's are all about describing beauty,
and there is a majestic type of that,
in aging
with music still to be played!

Major thumbs up!
