The heart of you

0 posted 2002-04-19 12:48 PM

Our love did not begin with the Sun's first rise,
Nor did it start at the Sun's last set.
It happened when another body filled the skies,
When two poetic-crossed souls finally met.
We did not know it was love just yet,
But, we knew we had to take that chance.
And so began this lover's vingette
In the Moonlit Dawn of our Romance.

It all began with a glance from the eyes.
A first line spoken in this Romantic Duet
Gave way to another, and another in reply.
What exactly was said, I sometimes forget;
But, I know it was echoed by a blue clarinet.
As I took your hand for our first dance,
We moved in time with that quiet quartet
In the Moonlit Dawn of our Romance.

Then came the sound of love's first sigh
As the floor became awash in violet.
The moon appeared brightly on high
Like a diamond drop so softly inset
Into the sky like a crystal amulet.
Lighting and crossing the sky's wide expanse,
Leaving only traces of our silhouettes
In the Moonlit Dawn of our Romance.

This is the love that Night beget,
When hearts fall under Love's sweet entrance.
I, your Romeo; and you, my Juliet
In the Moonlit Dawn of our Romance.

What light through yon window breaks?  It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.

Step through the
barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
into the shadows of my heart

Well then. I wanted you to know I hadn't missed the works you posted earlier than this. So this is how it all began?   Sounds like a wonderful beginning. Your heart is sweet in this.

"My ears have not yet drunk a hundred words
Of that tongue’s uttering, yet I know the sound:" "Romeo and Juliet"

tsk tsk..
this shouldn't be at the bottom.
Give it another round, Love?
