(Sorry for my downbeat side lately, my graduation is nearing and I'm graduating #1 in my class, yet I have been feeling a lot of apathy lately going through this year all alone without no friends to support me and am clueless where I am going! )

Break Me
By: Noah Eaton
4/18/02

You know I have something
But it never seems to be enough to me
All these times I'm burnt-out
And there's no doubt I'm living in apathy
I'm trying to find my commitment
To all the things that I could never be

I've never been so reputed
I'm not the one that is heard
It can get real messy
I feel I lost myself somewhere out there
But in particular I feel I was never even anywhere

Break me
Love me please
Everything there is jaded
Break me
There's nothing in me
It's seems all a part of me...

I'll never get to go to a prom
Inside of me that child will always scream
I've lived in worlds of phantoms
Trembling upon somersaults thinking they were me

I've never been so reputed
I'm not the one that is heard
It can get real messy
I feel I lost myself somewhere out there
But in particular I feel I was never even anywhere

Break me
Love me please
Everything there is jaded
Break me
There's nothing in me
It's seems all a part of me...

And I have been long-suffering
Longing to feel a love I desire deeply
I've been inculcating my jeremiads
Working out my doctrines
Trying to feel free...
I want to feel free...

Break me
Love me please
Everything there is jaded
Break me
There's nothing in me
It's seems all a part of me...
Break me
There's nothing in me
It's seems all a part of me...
Everything that was is gone
Everything that was is gone
Break me...
Everything that was is gone
Everything that was is gone
Break me...

Noah,

I'd be lying if I said that I could relate to this BUT..I want to share a bit if info with you....My favorite celebrities Neve Campbell and Freddie Prinze Jr were loners in high school and didn't have friends and LOOK AT THEM NOW...on top of the world!!!
Always keep your head up and keep reaching for the stars, you are very special.

I think lots of people don't know what they will do after high school...but opportunities make way for us to find the place where we fit in...congratulations on number one...that is an accomplishment that will take you far...for sure...
This made me think about my girlfriends daughter...she is sixteen and her mother makes her study all the time...but she gets straight A's so its worth it...and she did get to go to a prom with an eighteen year old friend...
Matter of fact I didn't go to my Senior Prom but a few years later I took my girlfriend to her senior prom...I still have the picture on my wall...
I was just looking at the picture of me and my old girlfriend at the prom and my new girlfriends daughter at her prom and they both have almost the same style and color of dress...James

First of all, congratulations for graduating first in your class... that's a tremendous accomplishment and we're very proud of you!

Second, transition is always hard... even when change is for the better, it's difficult to leave the familiar for the unknown... but I'm hoping your tomorrows are so filled with happiness that the disappointments you now face fade completely out of your mind. *S*

And last but not least... this is a wonderful poem. *S*

I'm not the one that is heard
It can get real messy
I feel I lost myself somewhere out there
But in particular I feel I was never even anywhere

Never doubt that you are heard here... and that you're a vital part of this family. *S*

my friend.... do not measure you success  through the eyes or acceptance of others but through your own heart and mind by knowing indeed that you may be whomever you choose to be, you may begin wherever you wish to begin...

Congrats on graduating.... NOW... take a chance and try something you have never tried before..or that you have always wanted to do... LIVE!!!! and you'll find what it is you are looking for.

SweetNoah~ When I finished high school, I was so upset at myself for how hard I worked and how little satisfaction I got out of my high marks.  I wished so much to go back and do it again and spend more time with friends rather than studying...so I know where you are coming from.  I also had no idea what I wanted to do next!  But there is a whole world out there Noah, you don't have to know right now what you want to do (I still don't!), you just have to hop in and try something and have a good time in the process.  You *will* make friends in the process...just be true to your sweet self and who could resist?

Cheer up Noah, this is only the beginning!  There's so much fun to be had.
*hugs*
~Krista

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too

Congratulations for so many achievements. Take it one day at a time, that is a great age to be, but many decisions to face. Good Luck in all from one of YOUR PIP FRIENDS...

Hello Noah

Since being here at PIP there is one person who stands out as being the warmest, selfless and most loving person towards myself and everyone else here and that person is

YOU

When I read the comments of others your name always seems to be there and I marvel at the fact that you are so dedicated to this site and the words of others as you tirelessly honour us with your thoughtfulness and kindness.  I know I don't speak alone here and I just wanted you to know how much you mean to so many.

Congratulations on your graduation and I wish you nothing but the best.

Take care my friend.........Sue

Noah, everyone feels a little down and cyncical at some point in their lives.  Don't let it bring you down.  You have my support.  And even if your poems have been a "little down"  then don't worry about it.  Poetry is a way to release our emotions.  Don't keep them bottled up!  Good write!

Hi Noah
CONGRATS on graduating first
now hon you may feel alone but this is how alot of people your age feel and sometimes it's just confusion and a build up of expectations that you feel you can't live up to, I think you know deep down in yourself that you can go far but just haven't the faith in yourself as yet, this will come with maturity believe me ( not that you aren't mature, I mean with age, life experience and growing within yourself) You have expressed your feelings well here and hopfully with your writing you can vent it. big ~HUGS~ to you sweetie~

Noah, congrats on 1st in your class. Hon, move on like you have been and keep your head held high. You have a bright future ahead for yourself. And, you have a wonderful girl who loves you unconditionally. Just focus on her and your future together. Lay your head in peace, Bud, it will all fall in place and never feel sorry for writing what you are feeling or going through. This is a place for friendships, not just for the good things in life but for the bad also. We all have our good and bad and I often write of my bad, as it helps to have friends to pull us along and what better place then here? If you ever need anyone to talk to, email me. I'll be glad to hear you out, k? No matter what you are feeling. This is a heartfelt write, and I pray, I do, for you to smile and be cheerful. You, My friend, have a wonderful heart, also. Let it guide you all the way!
