There was a little girl across the street in the park today. She transported me back to when my little girl was 4.

Today,
my memory
sat there,
in 4-year-old golden tresses,
reflecting sunlight,
waving in breezes
that cooled the air.

her powder-blue
attire,
a sky-blue vision;
a smile
curled her profile
and placed a sparkle
in her hidden eyes

I could see it
in her buoyant manner,
knees together,
toes east and west
in Mary Jane’s,
resting there, on
grasses polka-dotted
with tiny suns
of lion’s tooth
blooms.

she bubbled
to a stand,
spun delight,
and ran
to fulfill her play

she went away
like my little girl,
vanished,
her golden locks
with her

yet,
when we visit,
27 years later,
her playful child
tucked deep within her
escapes, sometimes,
bubbles out
in laughter
that caresses my heart

I enjoyed this very much.....surely needs to
be seen again by others...

I remember when my little girl was 4....and
yes, sometimes I hear that four year old
come out to play...even now...at 31...

Isn't it amazing how inspiration can bring memories back to life?

This is wonderful, it's good to read you again.

Take care,

VAS,
Oh how sweet it was and is...I can imagine with you my memories too that you have helped recall. I really needed this...

It's never too late to have a good childhood! Woohoo!
