My Friend Bill

He writes little gems that sparkle so
A word here or there his letters flow
No unnecessary words or extra line
My friend Bill writes works that shine

Words flow from his magician’s quill
The sentences lying silent and still
They slide into the soul when I read
Take me places, they plant truth’s seed

Poems of wonder, words of delight
Slide over my soul in sensuous night
I follow his lead in his poetic dance
His words of wisdom hearts last chance

Emotions and feelings he pens so well
Writes like a pro of life and its hell
Speaks to the soul in whispers so low
Then watches as the feelings all flow

My friend Bill Charles simply writes
Doesn’t confuse me with flashy sights
His lines are pared to simplistic beauty
And whatever he writes is pure poetry

Ooohhhhhh...I love this wonderful tribute to our wonderful friend, sweet friend, I recently talked to him for the first time on the phone, he is such a wonderful person deserving of this loving tribute! (kiss on cheek) You and Bill are both delights to us all, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!
