In the sagas of life, consider this weeper:
The snorer in you keeps disrupting the sleeper!
Unwanted awakenings bring feelings of gloom
When only one person occupies the bedroom
Oh, how you’d like to lay blame at a partner’s door
When you’re jolted from sleep by an obnoxious snore!
Through the dimness you seek someone  to kick or shake
Or urge to turn over - It just makes your heart break.
Sleep deprivation slowly saps your sanity
You wonder if ever a night of peace will be
You drag into work, assuring “Yes, I’m all right...
Really... nothing is wrong - I just had a rough night!”

Inspired by the transcendent Balladeer: /pip/Forum2/HTML/000921.html

That's bad enough
what do you call it when
you have to blame it on
your dog?

Thanks for sharing the inspire!

LOL .... well you could always blame it on Miss Kitty
Cute and Clever musing Ruthie...and how can we not be inspired by the Spam-master.
Thank for the cadenced comic relief from these taxes.

This made me chuckle to-day as I remembered counting my husband's snores instead of sleep recently. Chris

...well this does go further into that enemy we call 'the night'....why does sleep have to be fundamental? *shakes her head*...*softly...it hurts to much to shake it hard...sigh*
sounds like we are in about the same boat today

Soleil: My cats are guilty of ALL the indiscreet noises at my place... I swear! LOL Thank you! *S*

Marge: LOL @ your giggle-smiggles... what a wonderful phrase! *G* I dare myself to say it without smiling. *S* Thank you very much, sweet lady... it's an honor to direct traffic to Laughter Street. *S*

Janet Marie: And believe me, I DO!!! LOL I'm glad you enjoyed... I'll admit I thought seriously about giving the source of inspiration but leaving off the link... just to see if tongues would wag. LOL Thank you!

Nightshade: I can sympathize. *G* My parents never had to worry about enforcing curfew... we knew that if we didn't get to sleep before Daddy, we didn't get to sleep AT ALL! LOL Thank you!

jellybeans: Be careful with that shaking, gal... the last thing I want to do is give you more pain. *S* Big hugs... and many thanks. *S*

Martie: Thank you for stopping by and smiling! *S*

Sven: I'm so glad you enjoyed... thank you! *S*

whew...for a second, I thought you could hear my snoring across the Sabine River!

It's nice to know I'm not alone (except when I sleep, that is) chuckling! Hugs, ruth!

(smiles) This is so cute, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

serenity: ROFL... was that YOU???? LOL I thought the riverboat calliopes were malfunctioning. *G* Thank you so much for the reciprocated chuckles and the hugs. *S*

Enchantress: My sister managed to deny she snores... until her 3 year old gave his impression of "mommy sleeping"... in front of company, of course. LOL Thank you very much!

M'toe: But think of the poor neighbors!!! And what about noise ordinances? LOL Thank you so much. *S*

Eloise: I'm so glad you enjoyed... thank you!! *S*

ecrivan: Since most of my potential titles were as long as the poem, I settled for shortest. *G* Glad you liked... thank you! *S*
