And The Greatest Of These...

When things go wrong and I can take no more
I stop to count my blessings one by one
Then gift by gift I total up the score
Amazed at what I find when I am done
All thanks to He who knows what lies in store
And gives me strength with each new rising sun

I'm blessed that I have learned throughout the years
To place my faith in country and my God
Been gifted with the hope to perservere
Though often I must go against the odds
Most precious though are friends I hold so dear
Whose love endures no matter where I trod

I've many gifts all sent from God above
Of these, the greatest gift of all is love

Liz, Nan, Sharon and Kit...you are such a joy to be around. Know that when I count my blessings, you will all number plenty

What a joy to wake up to this wonderful poem this morning... I had a feeling you wouldn't go right to sleep last night... Cuz you're the hoot_owl... You stayed up and wrote some poetry...

It's just great having you here this week, Ruth - and lots more to come..

The morning brings a glow of warmth,
That rises 'cross the mist;
With kindred hearts that greet the dawn,
Such blessings, I could list.

Thank you Ruth ... this is just beautiful.

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

This is a beatiful tribute to the meaning of friendship and to the one sweet poet who wrote it. What a pleasure it has been to come to know our hoot owl in person. She is truly a gift of love
