standing on a shadow's lace

My Day In The Sun

today nothing
shall cloud me
in my sunshine
of joy
and even if
I dance in
the rays alone
it does not
and will
not diminish
the warmth
I do not
have to stand
next to fire
to feel
or remember
the heat
for the sun
is a blazing flame
to return
day after day
that shall
bathe me
in beams
this day
my day
in the sun

This is utterly beautiful. I read it like one strolling sentence... I hope that's the way you intended. For it never lapsed in its intensity of thought.

Helen, oh I love this, because I too find comfort and strength in the suns rays. Well done as usual. Chris

This fell
down your page
softly
gently
with soft
hope
at the
end

May love and light always shine upon you!

1slick_lady - I'm sure your day in the sun will come, as one day mine. Wish you the best...

We all need a day in the sun I think.  Nice work, Helen.

Your day in the sun ... that should be every day

I know what those days in the sun are like and you have described a day in the sun in a way that the reader can understand and relate to...enjoyed.
