Taking bits of emotion,
Desire,
And inner inspiration,
He is bringing out his mind
With wire
And bits of things left behind.
Twisting and turning by hand
Gentle curve,
Till his vision understands
The layers of dreams with in
With out words,
Just strands as commands to bend,
His thoughts heard,
Formed from bits of emotion.

Gloom
for the Wireman

I had three images here, Professor...first, the telephone lineman...then Franklin...then of course, of our computer world...

thanks for the flip-flop through history...

and probably not at all what you meant!

Thank you, Sunshine,
Actually this was sort of a challenge,
A personal one, where I boasted on being able to write a poem on any subject.
He supplied the title only, leaving me way too much leeway,
So I wrote it about him also, The Wireman.
He is an sculptor that uses wire.  So I wrote about that.
Hadn’t thought about the telephone or Benny Franklin,
But did have thoughts of the computer wire bouncing about.
Now perhaps I’ll have to go back and make a modified poem
“I am a lineman for the County” no, that’s been done already.
Oh, Well, glad you enjoyed.

Morning Gloom... enjoyed this. Unlike Sunshine, I went immediately to a sculpter... and when I read it again, saw another layer or two beneath the obvious images...

It is all in interpretation isn't it?  Whatever the source, you take a challenge and do well with it.

So write "of voice"
I will be interested and pleased to see what you do with it.

Interesting read Professor. Chris
