Cape Cod Dreams

I dreampt that you were here last night,
Along the foggy bay.
Enshrouded in the falling mist,
I felt our bodies sway.

Your hands, the breeze, caressed my skin.
Wind whispered in my ear.
With dew laced lips, I pulled you close,
Out in the sea swept air.

The foghorn in the distance
Became my calling heart;
'Till with the rising of the sun,
I felt our bodies part.

But now the fog is lifting;
The sunlight glints the bay;
And I am left with Cape Cod Dreams
To see me through the day.

...to you know who missing you

I can only imagine how beautiful it is there.

Hi darling.  I'm missing you too.  I wish I were at the Cape with you.  Don't forget to call me sometime. I just thought I'd remind you because it sounds like you were all having so much fun last night that you might forget.  Be good.  Oh and by the way, I liked this poem too.

I love you Ruth.

I wish this could be read to me as I close my eyes.  I felt every word and line, of your special moment.  Keep it close to your heart, as I am sure he has.  Very nicely written, thank you for sharing.

Write from the soul and the words will flow

He must have had a very good reason to let you slip away to be with the ladies...tell him...work isn't THAT important!

I'm still missing you.  Have I told you lately that I love you Ruth.  I can hardly wait to have you back in my arms.

It might not be Cape Cod, but if you're here with me it will be just as nice.

I love you very much Ruth.

Love,
Rodger

I'm missing to the max dear (if you can't tell), but I'll be OK until you get home.  I'm still loving you and everything about you even though you're not here with me to tell you in person.  Have fun, be good, and I'll talk to you soon.

Love,
Rodger

Your heart sings in lyric phrases of a longing made more intense by distance, and even in this beautiful place, your thoughts are with the one you love. This  is beauty in every sense. A tender and loving write.

This is beautiful, Ruth. I can tell that he misses you too. Dreams have gotten me through the day before though, so keep them in your memory to tide you over until you can be back with each other. It's not the same, but it works. Very well done.
