Once upon the clouds to dance and lost to tones ethereal Once upon the stars within his eyes my heart to crown imperial Airy sounds like fingertips to beckon of my ear come here Unearthly footsteps far away in whispers that seduce all fear Once upon the clouds to wisp away in silken slings and arrows Once upon the stars to pray, and fly away as springs first sparrows Light to drift about the moon in calls of doves so softly coo Unhampered by the cares that weight as cares so often do Once upon the clouds to dance of light and shine benevolent Once upon the stars to see into the sun embraced and reverent Delicate to touch and toe to float in joy's illuminated breath Unending in the songs that play inside the happy heart gone deaf Copyright Kkh 4/15/02 |
