Dilemma's Desire

I’m caught between love and desire
Not knowing if I should yield to fire
Should I deny the pull of your soul?
Not acknowledging I know your role
Safe and secure wrapped in pure love
Granted sanctity from my Lord above
Or should I cede to the hope of this
The want of such held in your kiss?

I’m caught between night and day
Knowing so well what I should say
I’d be better turning my back to you
Knowing this is fantasy quite untrue
With my love I’m blessed in his eyes
My soul is content but no more flies
Why can’t I delight in love divine?
Knowing I am his and he is mine

I’m caught between don’t and do
Wishing I understood a part of you
There’s no confessing of my intent
I’m left alone with what I meant
When I’m with him I know for sure
I love him now and will evermore
You’re a dream that’s all now leave me
I’ll return to loving him completely

Marsha

(sigh) I think we can all get blockaded in these desires every now and then, sweet friend, but I know as long as you follow your heart and make decisions based on them, everything will always go alright in the end! (kiss on cheek) This is beautiful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Marsha, darling girl. Again, your pen bleeds wonderful truths. Man and woman are constantly debating about love or desire as if they are separate. I don't think they need be.

Personally I believe Love and desire go together in a non-exlusive way like Christ taught us. I believe that man's prisms filter and bend the light of Love to partition God's love and make new meanings defining guilt, blame and shame, in order that women will become weak, go into bondage and subject themselves to control of men.

A wonderful poem, Mushy. Thank you for sharing. Your beautiful words are always honey to my soul.
