Mismatched in a tempered flame
burning with sensations.
It is not the glow or the warmth,
nor the light that it creates.
It is the setting itself whetting my appetite.

It doesn't matter if it's a booth in a diner
that consists of a menu serving burgers and fries.
Or entering through the exit, so I can sit at your table.
It's been worth every quarter fed into the jukebox,
and just so you know, I'm not too proud to admit it.

Like a five star restaurant aiming to please
it's all like caviar and candelabra's to me.

My finest moment is the picnic we shared
spread out on a blanket, feeding into the frenzy,
and the claim that you made boring down in the sun,
serving the heart of my every desire.

Striking a match to an eternal flame
that flickers like glitter and burns in my eyes~
It's the place where you take me
that makes my heart race.

My window table, without reservations.

(I should think about leaving a REAL signature
all this editting doesn't really say much about me...or does it???
Oh but I shudder to think where I would be without it)

Oh Larry~ I fluctuate between levels.
It's a woman's prerogative, kind of like the wishes she washes!!!     I thank you so much for your kindness and more especially for being a friend to me.

A soft walk in the glen and the breeze was delightful. Well done.

little booth in the corner
with the drapes parted slightly
so just enought light shimmers in
to ignite your secret thoughts

enjoyed the view here Ms

Lori, I am always stunned by your images and metaphors. Beautifully done.
