This is the night
Of a cool, Moon...shivers
Of blended light fall
Like hail upon the unwary,
Those who look for the unknown
With eyes glazed over with dreaming.

In the night of a cool, Moon,
Passion is tucked into bed,
Fires simmering on low.
Ice melting over the Sun.
Icy tears falling on hearts,
Icy fingers touching souls.

With the night of a cool, Moon...
Shadows twirl with the light of day
Becoming one twist of dark and light.
A swelling tide of cooled-off lovers,
An ice-dance of chilled love affairs,
A cool-down of Lunar fantasies.

Still...this cool, Moon sits on high
Reigning over the passion-flower dreams
Of the self-serving seekers of Love.

....so icy cool....so chilling
....so deeply frozen

This night of the cool, cool, Moon.

Ivy Rose!  WOW!  Now this is my favorite!
Of course each time I read one of yours
I think the same thing to myself...
But this..the images and emotions
you have conjured up for us to savor
....well,
I just love it!

A swelling tide of cooled-off lovers,
An ice-dance of chilled love affairs,

Oh I love this one!! Chris

IvyRose~
If it's about the moon ... I love it~

'Still...this cool, Moon sits on high
Reigning over the passion-flower dreams
Of the self-serving seekers of Love.'

And this is just a wonderfully image-matic verse~
VERY much enjoyed this read~

O, Ivy, you give me chills up and down my spine. Makes me want to start a nice warm fire close by.

I've read this a few times, and it's better with every read. You not only allowed me to SEE it in my mind, but the atmosphere translated exceptionally well.

Enjoyed much! Thank you.
