Second Time Around
By Larry Chadwick

I flirted with the thought of you,
Just shortly after we had met.
It seemed that it was inevitable,
But you insisted on persuasion and yet…

To me it seemed that it was timing,
So convinced that you’d be mine.
Undaunted by the odds of the future,
But not defiant for fear I’d confine.

A tight rope of intent to lay claim,
On what I genuinely desired.
Walking that line without a net,
Taking the chance as hope required.

Effort applied to a hope of yearning,
True to the heart of deep love.
Hoping and praying and pursuing,
Wise as a serpent, gentle as a dove.

Mission accomplished at long last,
Signifying the beginning not the end.
Fresh love met with fresh vigor,
Hearts ready and willing to mend.

(smiles) ***BUMP!***! (sigh) Hope can indeed always come back with a vengeance and when we believe in love with all our hearts, the afterglow of it is bound to fill our hearts forever! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Larry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Nancy Lee,
And what a wonderful morning. Thanks for the cheery note!

Mushy,
I didn't think a wench or someone so closely connected to one could even understand jealousy! LOL You know it should be of concern if I am connected in anyway to perfect, no? But thank you always for such generous and kind words. I can't stop appreciating them.

Sy,
Well...you know hind site is 20/20! LOL And thanks.

Noah,
You don't know this personally...but second marriage relationships are less tolerant than first marriage relationships. So you expect more and tolerate less. It makes no sense, however, if you get past those issues, (as a dear friend of mine says) woohoo! Thanks.

Ivy Rose,
Thank you man. Those are very kind words. I appreciate them very much.
