They come
They go
Some fast
Some slow..
Some frown
Some smile
Some stay
Awhile
But, in the end
I always know
It's all pretend
They come
They go.

Perhaps
Some day
I'll find
A way
To make them feel
They want to stay
But it has never
Happened so
I'm not that clever
They come
They go.

They come
They go
Ducks in
A row
Each takes a part
Of shattered heart
They leave as friend
Or sometimes foe
But, in the end,
They come
They go...

(sad sigh) Oh Michael, this is a sad but true kind of game that happens with so many peoples hearts, sweet friend, but in this game where there will be many ducks that may not be true to our hearts, there will always be that goose that will forever remain with a lover to eternity! (big hugggsssss) I hope you have found this kind of love, sweet friend, you deserve it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Hope I'm not laughing at your expense, Michael...but I'm laughing just the same.
Though, it has been my unfortunate experience that the ones who stay...are usually the ones I wish would go!

This is a bit different than your normal verse, but exceptionally done! I enjoyed it. It reads like a poetic shrug (what can you do?).

’Deer dearest heart OH my this is just too  perfect, I love it, this a different and superb piece of writing from you. The flow as always absolutely perfect.

Others may drift in and out
Moving restlessly full of doubt
They come and then they go
Eternally drifting ebb and flow

They might have been and gone
But they are shiftless moving on
I’m not into moonlit flits
I not one of those flighty bits

Butterflies flit without a care
Stopping never anywhere
Wings always moving ever on
Here a moment then they’re gone

I’m not a butterfly I like to stay
For longer than a single day
I want a place where I can remain
Someone to return to yet again

Marsha

Forgive me ‘Deer I couldn’t resist this really is exceptional writing

Krissy darling daughter there’s another 2 points to me, you might be younger darling but I’m still winning

Love and warm stuff
As always

Oh you
sweet Deer
you let
them go
By now
I gathered
you should
know
before you'll
find the
right one
though
you have to
let some
come
and
go

I really like this style from you, and of course the flow, message and rhyme is perfect!

And ain't it the truth...those exotic men in thongs never stay when I want them too either! Hmpf, that's it, I'm becoming a nun!

They come
They go
Yet even so
We learn to live
We learn to give
They touch our heart
Right from the start
And footprint there
Though unaware
They come
They go

They come
They go
And whose to know
When one fine day
Fate interplays
And they're the one
Our gleaming sun
They come
They stay

I love PDV's description... a poetic shrug. *S* Only I suspect the shoulders doing the shrugging are sore... so that every shrug hurts. *S*

But some moments with some people are worth the emptiness that comes when they go. *S*

This is magnificent, Deer One...
