In a Lover's Heart

Rolling bands of blue & white
Bring forward a brand new day
Hope & beauty in this new birth
Optimism slowly leads the way

Invincible I am, as the sun softly rises
Another chance to make wrongs right
An end to the injustice of dark
A crisp beginning to end a long night

What wonders await me out there?
What more beautiful sights to see?
A soaring swallow breaks my vision
A silhouette on my mind's tapestry

Fresh air, cool morning air
Awakens my lungs with a start
Earth lightly covered with dew
Which only day's warmth can part

How much you can notice
When you are truly alive
Life taken for granted
'Til you finally arrive

None of these things have much meaning
If not with a lover they can be shared
Whether by my side or in my thoughts
Forever my love, we are paired

Life is too short, supersize it - SG
