Her Silent Thoughts

You seem like one
that makes loving an art form...
by taking away the act,
turning it into a play,
love-lights coming from
the moon and stars,
encoring scenes into standing ovations
by the flowered patterns
on awe-struck walls,
where iris eyes would blink,
wondering at mother's nature...

[there is a poem in there]

the morn wonders
if her sunstreams should hide from view
a little longer,
secretly circumspect behind the hills
just a few more seconds,
until by axis only,
sun has to come in to
gleam on morning skin...

meeting light’s match

when one finds a romantic,
one who knows that
finding a right word
that turns into those silences
easily...
one finds nothing
is taken for granted...

if only by word
to know [now] that one man
can encompass this luxury...
then it is to know that touch,
and I would have you bring that touch ... here...

where warmth now flows
from what once thought
had been left to
dry in the dust bowl...

every now and then the midwest goes arid...
grit grinds and skin desiccates...
but now and then, after a few
years of dry,
spring rains bring a dance
of lush to the plains

and I stand now
in your spring rain
face cupped between your hands
until your lips
hold mine
and your hands explore
the slight hills and valleys
the midwest
has to offer...

grateful that the drought has ended…

Very, Very soft and smooth - Like a summer rain.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Soleil

Imagery devine mixed with a sensual metaphor, so well done.  The earth has such treasure for a poet,  yes!

Love is indeed an art form.  The moon and stars, the sun at my hands.

Thank you.

What light through yon window breaks?  It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.

Indeed a poem in there, very nice work Sol..

Like a red brick,
in a white wall
somebodies brush
forgot to paint...
lonely....(as sung by Tracy Lawrence..)

I'm putting this one in my library, and whenever I feel a drought of love and kindness, I'll take this out to read, remember, and be refreshed. Thank you.
