Flickering flames dancing upon the walls as pen flows fast, stops, stutters and stalls A fragrance flowing from across the way calling, whispering, telling him to stay. The flames that waiver and tell the tale as two shadows now one in passion flail A sigh, a moan, a gasp in whispered soft from above, the steps into one love’s loft A clink of glass that tells of their thirst giggles and laughs, one surely will burst Murmurs and smacks from kisses shared lost in the moment two lovers dared Hay falling like straw messengers thin telling of the love which conquers, wins Familiar sounds of love in their throes lasting till daybreak, no one else knows Eyes drift into sleep in morning’s rise as slumber takes from lips longing sighs Two hearts joined as one beating strong as love of ages becomes melodic song. |
