A Stranger Dance

Exclamation marks
excited her preparation for what eyes
might walk her spine

it was because of him
those words he had slipped beneath her
when she had not looked
but only felt

and which gods should she thank
for being alive again

as she looked into shared reflections
~ seeing hope freshen ~
[reminded (of self ] images) found in liquid pools
raining salt as she laid there
rivulets streaming toward temples of gray

~*~

salt-and-pepper shadows nudging memories
fingertips rasping voices sulky

~*~

winds blew while rains seeped
tangled shadows wrangled silk and
satin dreams

yet expectation still woke her
to wonder if a camel’s hair blush
could silk dreams come true

she draped drop earrings onto ears
that burned, perhaps hoping they
would show him inner tension in their
dance when he once again
slipped those words beneath her

her white slink blouse buttons
vying for attention

her remaining youth…

blossoming in this spring dance

A stranger dance
she had yet to know…

does indeed sound as if the change in seasons has brought out in you the things perhaps buried too long inside...

Oh, I like this so much. It feels mysterious, and yet inviting. For some unknown reason it reminded me of a pastlove that I rarely think of. (Funny what words can do to the memories)

Deca

The desire feel in this is like gasoline...all it needs is a match.  Very sultry and lovely images here.

Deca darling girl this is sooooooooo incredibly wonderful. The passion the depth of this is utterly utterly fabulous, I’m awe-struck by this wonderful piece. The rhythm is absolutely excellent, the presentation is superb and the words in this are utterly utterly beautiful

Deca, when one dances a stranger
how long would they be strangers
til the first song ended
or til the morning woke them with sighs

you do this so well..makes me jealous
of the lucky guy...

enjoyed it

Exclamation marks kind of drive the point home don't they?
I really enjoyed the way your words danced among the flames,
and watching the heat rise!!!!!!!!
