where the sky and horizon meet

Following the Wind

The wind caresses the scenery
as it flows at every height
and when it reaches where I stand
it whispers into the night

It speaks to me of memories
and sings softly of my pain
and then it turns and leaves me
and I am alone again

The wind is always moving
it never dwindles behind
it keeps on going forward
and now, so will I.

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too

Sometimes we can go quietly with the wind...

where I live, you're lucky if you can stand still some days...

I enjoyed this!  Thank you!

It's good to have that positive feeling, hiding in the background, and then suddenly it takes over. I love this.

Sunshine~ Yes, sometimes it just takes your hand and leads you forward.
And where you live, it sounds like it drags you down the street!
Thank *you* so much for your kind words

this is a lovely thought and image...
a sincere, cadence kissed gem of pen here...
and so nice to see your name on the page again SM..
I love the resolve and quiet strength this speaks of.
well done poetess, welcome back

how about how good it feels to finally forgive you

it is much easier to let the wind be at your back, than to try and walk against it... perhaps we should all learn to pay attention to the way the wind is blowing..and learn to move forward...

I enjoyed....

SmittenKitten~
Your inspired thoughts are just so lovely~

I liked this .....

'It speaks to me of memories
and sings softly of my pain
and then it turns and leaves me
and I am alone again'

But ... mostly I enjoyed the fact that you are moving forward~

It is such a pleasure to have you home~
