Pacing Footsteps

Pacing footsteps on the floor
I would you stop and try the door.
Hours are draining through times hole
There is little time for your goal.

What use to pace a timeless cast?
To hang from ropes from out the past
Or place your heart upon a door
Just open it and find the store.

The dark that seems to block your road
Are phantoms of another mode?
Place your foot upon a path
And it will give your mind a bath.

Echoes like the birds that fly
Flap their wings the shape of why.
But skies are free and full of hue
Open your hand, collect some dew

Set your sail the wind is fair
It’s waiting for a simple dare.

Seymour darling boy oh what a wonderful piece of delight this is, have you any idea the joy I get from seeing a Seymour poem? Perhaps you might have some clue, since I cannot do subtle, and those delicate nuances of appreciation just aren’t my style. Obviously I’m a typically English soul, quite unassuming, and more than capable of fading silently into the background. NOT

Anyway this is another utterly utterly perfectly penned poem from you and I absolutely love it. Thank you for my making my morning.
Love and warm stuff

Maureen,
Well then start with some simple ones.

Marsha,
You always send me out the door singing.

Sometimes we do too much pacing
Only shadows are we chasing
I, for one, agree with your open door policy
and it's so wonderfully written'Liz

(smiles) This is a delightful read, sweet friend, may we all captivate the wind and let the wind carry us to tomorrow and follow our own golden brick roads to promises kept! (big hugggssssss) This is fabulous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

The first stanza is just fine
brought a little girl to rhyme
she peeked through the door of key
found Sy and Randy making tea

and then she heard the dragon roar
watching Sy write of evermore
she brushed him gently with her wing
promising solace in her sing

you clever gent...my rhyme you bent

*shaking my head and smiling at you*
Stinkylove there are so many cool lines in this that all I can do is crown you my king of cool...

I just adore these lines.....

"What use to pace a timeless cast?
To hang from ropes from out the past"

"The dark that seems to block your road
Are phantoms of another mode?"

"Place your foot upon a path
And it will give your mind a bath."

and these line take the cake of cool...

"Echoes like the birds that fly
Flap their wings the shape of why."

I've now had my daily requirement of Sy-wise-rice. *L*
I do so love the way your mind works....
it bathes us all in wisdom and way cool.

*smiling at Sun's poetic reply too*

JM,

You bring the raspberry tea
And I'll bring the raspbery jam
And with that I think there's enough
Ham for lunch. Love ya WWRS
