The Other Shade Of Me If I had it my way sacred would be forever before my eyes Not just occasionally but all of the time Let me take you to where the flowers never die A place where the shade of awe is all mine... I've been hanging around here ever since I lost myself Here, I am me in the purest way I know how For, when I am one with nature I get lost in the old me And, I discover what new shades of the world's all about... I am the chosen one to come across beauty never seen by another Cause, only my heart can take me to what my mind creates In the middle of my longing to understand my rain in life For me, this land of imagination tenderly waits... By the grace of God and of desperation to flee from fear I turn to a sea mist color blades of grass Knee high and with dandelions mixed in their auburn tone I become as carefree as the clouds that calmly pass... It is only I that walk along a violet stream Where rocks of ivory lie mixed within it's flow And, in spring like weather flakes of white can fall here It's the only place where roses can still bloom through the snow... Nothing brings more inner joy to find that orange tinted sun When it's warmth brings me shades of comfort to an often bitter life I remain here until I witness my sunsets edged in gold And, watch as serene in shades of endless gathers night... Once, I dreamed here until shades of emptiness filled within Found it hard to come back to my unseen shades of green I should have known I couldn't be that shade of desirable Now, I'm the deepest shade of blue to know he doesn't want me... I can never be that brightest star ever found And, on my knees I've learned to know this ground For, I am the shade of my reflection of my past that he sees So, now you've just viewed the other shade of me... (big hugggssssss) This is so very heartaching, sweet friend, never say that for he failed to feel for your heart and you are so very special and deserve a love that can always shoot you to the stars that I know you will find!
